August tours
On Sunday 1 August the church will be opening as part of the British Festival of Archaeology. David Alston and archaeologist John wood will be talking about the history of the East Church and what was learnt as a result of the archaeological survey carried out during the early stages of the work on the building.
Some of the archaeological finds will be on display for the day, whilst others are on permanent display in the Cromarty Courthouse Museum.
Tours will be held at 11.00 and 14.00.
You'll be able to get an insight into the lives of some of the people buried in the kirkyard when David Alston runs his very popular kirkyard tours during August.
These will be on Wednesday evenings at 19.00.
Don't forget - you can keep up-to-date with the work on the eastChurch by checking out 'The Worksite' webpage.
