Young Visitors
25 May 2010
The East Church has recently enjoyed another visit from Cromarty Primary School. With the help of Andrew and George of Laing Traditional Masonry Ltd they were able to learn about the art of stone working and the tools that are used.
Inside the church David Alston told the children about the work to put the church back together - flagstone jigsaws, and timber framing that is being made by Graham and Christoph for the old floorboards to rest on.

It is fascinating not only to study the building fabric and try and work out some of the stages in the church’s development, but also to look at the archaeology within the church.”
